Early Roots in Imagery & Storytelling
Chelsea approaches home as both a lived experience and a craft, shaped from an early age by a family rooted in the film industry. With both her grandfather and mother working in film, she grew up surrounded by imagery and storytelling. Her childhood training in sketching and other artistic nurtured a sensitivity to form, light, and atmosphere that later shaped her design sensibility.
Market Expertise & Buyer Psychology
She graduated from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University and studied Interior Decorating at Maritime Business College, spending the past decade immersed in the residential world. Her early work supporting a National Top 1% Realtor involved tracking Nova Scotia MLS listing activity and market updates, preparing listing materials, supported buyer and seller advisory, and assisted clients with home search and rental placements. This experience gave her a clear understanding of buyer expectations, market behavior and how people make decisions about homes.
Technical Grounding: From Design to Build
She later moved into the design and construction side of the industry. After early work in kitchen design, she joined a full-service interior design firm as an assistant and later gained in-house experience with a small residential development team. These roles strengthened her technical and creative capabilities and grounded her approach in coordination, clarity and practical execution. Through this layered background, Chelsea developed a multidimensional understanding of what people truly need in a home beyond visual appeal.
A Home is Built for Life's Transformations
Her life has also moved through transformative chapters as a partner, single parent and now founder. These experiences shaped her belief that a home is not only a backdrop to life but a space that holds us through change and reflects who we are becoming. The process of building a home often parallels the process of building ourselves, each decision adding structure, meaning and stability.
A Love for Architecture and Global Exploration
Beyond her professional work, Chelsea carries a deep love for architecture. She hopes to travel the world and walk through masterpieces from Versailles to Ronchamp’s Notre Dame du Haut, from Bauhaus Dessau to the Pantheon, while exploring the history and future of the built environment.
